I am having a hard time comprehending the magnitude of the COVID-19 virus and the effect on people’s lives around the world. Businesses have voluntarily and mandatorily closed to allow people to self-distance, thousands are losing their jobs, and Lysol wipes are a hot commodity. Many creditors have refrained from enforcement proceedings at this time, but that does not relieve the stress of knowing you have debts that you can’t pay.

Financial Consumer Agency of Canada has provided some guidance at the following website:

If you need to discuss filing a personal bankruptcy or consumer proposal today, our Licensed Insolvency Trustees are still available to assist via telephone and email. We will still provide the same detailed analysis of your assets, liabilities, income, and expenses and review solutions that can provide you with debt relief. Please reach out to Julie Savage or myself, Kathy Lenart at 905-523-0003 or klenart@taylorleibow.com and jsavage@taylorleibow.com.

Please stay safe and well.
